Venice— getting lost can be romantic…

Venice definitely tops the list of cities that are uber romantic (Paris & Buenos Aires are close behind). Retro blogging again today, as we visited Venice during the low season, late November. The pros: less crowded streets, can get into restaurants without long lines, piazza san marco pictures are better plus the chance of aqua alta–aka the tidal flooding that can occur in winter (i guess it could be a con but it would have made amazing pictures). The cons of visiting in winter: just a bit chilly but I’m from NY so I’m used to much colder!

Spied some bichon bolognaises. Venice is a dog’s dream city! No cars & dogs are allowed on the ferries & many shops.

Getting lost in Venice’s tiny winding cobblestone roads is to be expected, and can be unexpectedly romantic.

Walked into a pet store in the Jewish Ghetto in Cannaregio. This dog looks pissed we caught him mid grooming.
