We decided to visit this small chinese american fusion restaurant in Alphabet City /East village called Tuome on this wintry March evening!
The restaurant has a cozy eclectic decor & a small but dense menu.
We loved the amuse bouche: some sort of creamy soup with chili & crab.
Next we had deviled eggs–not typically a chinese dish but this one had the egg white deep fried/crispy & yolks chilled, spicy with crunch topping. Octopus with pork XO & brown butter & fingerling potato espuma, blue crab curry mac & cheese. For main dish we shared the Pig Out (for two) which was crispy deconstructed berkshire pork belly, peanut noodles, XO sauce, ginger scallion sauce, & arugula/persimmon salad. Finally we had the best brussel sprouts–carmelized with grapes, raisins & Pork XO.
