Guggenheim museum

We love the Guggenheim—what’s not to love? The inimitable architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright, the incredible interior rotunda where many a modern art exhibit dazzles–there are too many things to love about the Guggenheim.

Saturdays from 5:45-7:45pm is the only time when this museum is pay what you wish –when normally it is $25. Right now the museum is transitioning exhibits so museum was half bare. But still there were plenty of art displays to peruse.

I really enjoyed this large sculpture by Kader Attia of an Algerian city made of couscous (the poor museum guards had their hands full with forbidding the tourists from touching it because the couscous kind of begs to be played with)

I do enjoy the stairs to nowhere–very reminiscent of mc escher

There was even a gallery dedicated to one year of art made by children–the baby liked these sculptures in particular
