Manus x Machina: the Met costume institute 2016

Indulging my love & fascination for haute couture by visiting the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan museum of art for the third year in a row!

It was a mix of modern & vintage haute couture looks exemplifying fashion made by hand/manus & machine/machina.

Gareth pugh dress made of drinking straws!

SReal gull skulls dipped in silicone & attached to this outfit–creepy yet coolPurplish black Alexander Mcqueen feather outfit

Dress made with iron filings & sculpted via magnets!

Louis vuitton dresses from recent runways

Shimmery pailettes on a dress like perfect fish scales

Chanel wedding dress is center stage–made of neoprene & with ridiculous amounts of hand applied crystals & pearls
